One of the most enjoyable aspects of our consulting work is discovering the unique aspects of each wedding couple and the story they want to share on their wedding day.

Our job is to translate their vision into the botanical artistry that will achieve the best visual impact for their wedding ceremony and reception. We consulted with a couple who both work as captains for charter sailing adventures along the East coast of the United States. Naturally, they wanted to highlight and celebrate that exciting part of their lives.

Smilax is being attached to a ships wheel by Vincenzo Butera AIFD, PFCI, AAF.

They chose to be married on the private estate of the groom’s parents and their grand celebration took place in the original beautiful barn. The immense wooden structure was transformed into the feel and grandeur of a dinner reception on a classic vintage cruise ship. Two wooden ships’ wheels were suspended from the ceiling and adorned with fresh greenery and Edison style lighting.

Long banquet tables featured a myriad of exquisite floral designs and filled the barn with beauty and elegance.

The Bridal Party was elevated on a platform and a hand designed botanical wall of fresh vines artistically served as a stunning backdrop.

The bar and dance floor were accented with fresh botanical designs flowing horizontally on the wall. The entranceway featured a matching vertical design and the wedding cake design and flowers were simply exquisite. Same day delivery of all the fresh flowers and greenery ensured that everything botanical was at its peak of freshness for this bride and groom!
